USS Texas (BB-35) is a New York class battleship. Commissioned in 1914 and Decommissioned in 1948 the ship is now a floating museum moored just outside Houston.

Cowtown Coliseum is a 3,418 seat arena in the Stockyards National Historic District of Fort Worth, Dallas. Home to Rodeo's every Friday and Saturday evening - well worth a visit.

Home of Dealey Plaza where on 22 Nov 1963 JFK was assasinated from the six floor window of the Texas School Book Depository. Visit the museum then walk down on to Elm St where the limo sped away from the fatal shooting, then visit the reunion tower for some amazing views.

Built in 1936 for the Texas Centennial Exposition, this 277 acre recreational and educational complex is well known for its Art Deco buildings and worth a visit.

Founded in 1909 this 64 acre zoo is home to over 5,000 animals and is widely regarded as one of the best in Texas.

A TV related stop off - Gas Monkey Garage as featured on Discovery Channel's Fast N Loud. Unfortuantely the day we arrived most of it was closed for filming... Be sure to check out Gas Monkey Bar N Grill - the food is suprisingly good....

Some amazing caverns located in Georgetown TX (Near Austin). Discovered in 1963 during the construction of Interstate 35, the caverns were carved by water passing through limestone and are estimated to be 90-100 million years old.

McKinney Falls State Park is located on the Southeastern edge of Austin and was looking a bit dry thanks to a 4 year drought.....

Located near Braunfels TX, the Natural Bridge Caverns are the largest known commercial caverns in the state of Texas. Prepare for a long hike as these caverns take you 180 feet below the surface and once down there you have to come all the way back up again...!

Apparently, Southfork Ranch was/is home to the TV Soap 'Dallas' - well the bits that weren't filmed in a studio somewhere...! I've never seen the show but the ranch was great to visit and once the (informative) tour is over you are free to roam.

This place shouldn't need any introduction. Home to the famous mission control for past and present US space missions and much of the research and development for many past, present and future space explorations. Houston.... we have a problem...!

Tower of the Americas is a 750 foot observation tower/restaurant located at Hemis Fair park in Downtown San Antonio. Take the elevator to the observation deck for some amazing views of San Antonio.
